Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter/Decorator to join our team. This role involves applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. The successful candidate will have experience in construction painting and possess excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to the enhancement of residential and commercial properties.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting or decorating
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
Ensure all work meets safety standards and adheres to client specifications
Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
Use appropriate tools and equipment efficiently to achieve desired results
Assist in the planning and execution of decorating projects from start to finish

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating roles
Knowledge of different paints, finishes, wallpapers, and application techniques
Valid driving licence is advantageous for site travel
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail
Physical fitness to undertake manual tasks involving lifting, climbing, and working at heights
