Overview

Join our dedicated care team as a Training Carer, where your passion for supporting others will make a meaningful difference in people's lives. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training to new and existing care staff, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional care. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will foster a positive learning environment, promoting confidence and competence among team members. Responsibilities

Deliver engaging training sessions to new hires and ongoing staff, covering essential topics such as care plans, home care procedures, and health and safety protocols
Assist in developing and updating training materials to reflect current best practices and regulatory standards
Observe and evaluate trainee performance during practical assessments, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
Collaborate with management to identify training needs and tailor programs accordingly
Support staff in understanding their roles within care homes or home care settings, emphasizing the importance of communication skills and person-centered approaches
Maintain accurate records of training attendance, progress, and certifications achieved
Ensure all training activities adhere to legal requirements and organizational policies

Experience

Proven experience working in a care home or home care environment, with a strong understanding of care plans and resident needs
Valid driving license and ability to travel between different care settings as required
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to convey information clearly and empathetically
Competent in using IT systems for record keeping, training documentation, and reporting purposes
Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to care environments
Prior experience in delivering or facilitating training sessions is highly desirable
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
