The role

Account Executive

Starting salary from £30,000 depending on experience
Full Time or Part Time position
Permanent Contract
Location: County Durham – Thinford Park
Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm

About the role:

We are an ambitious and growing agency looking to invest in the right people to support our continued success. As an Account Executive, you will take ownership of a portfolio of commercial clients, building strong, long-term relationships and delivering high-quality, tailored insurance solutions.

It would suit an individual who enjoys balancing relationship management with business development, and who is motivated to contribute meaningfully to the agency’s growth. In return, you will benefit from full training, ongoing professional development and the support of a collaborative and well-established team.

This role offers the opportunity to further develop into senior client management or leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and develop your own portfolio of commercial clients, acting as their primary point of contact

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, providing trusted advice and support

Proactively identify, develop and convert new business opportunities to support agency growth targets

Identify opportunities to cross-sell the full range of NFU Mutual products, including Financial Services and Risk Management Services

Maintain accurate, compliant and up-to-date client records using CRM systems

About you:

Experience in insurance, financial services or a client-facing advisory role

Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and develop business opportunities

Commercial insurance experience desirable

Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills

Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
