Full job description

We’re hiring!

We have an exciting opportunity to join a busy practice of Architects and Planning Consultants as a part-time (22.5hrs a week) bookkeeper, based at our office in Pewsey.

Who are we?

Fowler Architecture & Planning are a family-run practice with over 40 years of experience working on luxury private homes across the South of England. Over three quarters of our work comes from personal recommendations and existing clients, and we maintain this strong reputation by delivering a “complete service”, including designing beautiful traditional country homes, getting planning permission on challenging sites, and offering a coordinated client service through our dedicated admin team.

What will I be doing?

Prepare & send invoices
Dealing directly with client & supplier account queries
Chase outstanding debtors
Purchase & sales ledgers
Bank reconciliation
Petty cash
Payroll
VAT returns
Month ends
Assist with year ends

Although the role is predominately bookkeeping, it will also include a small degree of additional duties to support the administrative team.

We are looking for someone who is:

An excellent communicator (both verbal and written)
Detail orientated and conscientious
Exceptionally organised and able to work independently
Confident, professional and proactive when dealing with clients, colleagues and external parties
Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite, Sage and Staffology (formerly IRIS), Harvest (being phased out). Experience with project management software (ClickUp) is a bonus but not essential.
Ideally AAT (or ICB) qualified but proven experience is also acceptable
