Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ground Worker based in Chippenham who must possess their own vehicle and driving licence. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting groundworks and construction activities, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a reliable professional with proven experience in ground works to contribute to diverse projects across the area.

Duties

Assist with excavation, trenching, and site preparation tasks using appropriate tools and machinery
Transport materials and equipment to various sites using your own vehicle
Support the installation of foundations, drainage systems, and other groundwork components
Maintain site safety standards by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely progression of projects
Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment, reporting any issues promptly
Assist in site clean-up and organisation post-completion of tasks

Experience

Proven experience as a Ground Worker or similar role within the construction or civil engineering sectors
Valid driving licence with own vehicle essential for travel between sites
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to groundworks
Ability to operate basic machinery and hand tools safely and effectively
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Good communication skills and reliability are essential for this role

This position is ideal for a dedicated professional who takes pride in their work, values safety, and is capable of managing responsibilities independently across multiple sites.

MUST HAVE CSCS

Pay: £15.15-£30.00 per hour
