Full job description

We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Tax Senior to join our growing practice team on a full-time basis.

This role is ideally suited to an individual with a strong background in tax compliance who is looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and professional environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day tax compliance function, managing deadlines, and supporting the development of junior team members.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients
Preparing and reviewing:
Self-Assessment Tax Returns
Corporation Tax Returns
P11Ds and employment-related tax filings
Monitoring compliance deadlines and ensuring timely submissions
Handling client queries and maintaining strong client relationships
Undertaking tax research and resolving technical issues where required
Supervising, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior staff members
Assisting with the continual improvement of internal processes and procedures

About You

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience working within an accountancy practice environment
Possess strong tax compliance knowledge across personal and corporate taxation
Be professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA) or qualified by experience
Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Be capable of managing workloads effectively and meeting deadlines
Have strong written and verbal communication skills
Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to work independently
Be proactive, professional, and client-focused

Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior team members would be advantageous.
