Role Overview
The Ecommerce Assistant supports the day-to-day running of our ecommerce activity across both trade stockists and direct-to-consumer channels. This role plays an important part in ensuring our online product information, website content, promotions, and digital assets remain accurate, organised, and up to date.
Working closely with the Ecommerce & Digital Solutions Executive and the Retail & Digital Sales Manager, this position is ideal for someone looking to begin a career in ecommerce and digital operations, with an interest in online retail, digital marketing, and data-driven decision making.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and keen to learn new systems and processes
Location: Stroud, Cotswold
Reporting to: Ecommerce & Digital Solutions Executive
Job Type: Full Time (37.5 hours per week) with flexibility as the season dictates.

Core Responsibilities
1. Product Information & Data Management
- Maintain and update product information across ecommerce platforms, ensuring all product descriptions, specifications, dimensions, pricing, imagery, and attributes are accurate and consistent.
- Support data preparation and organisation for wider business digital innovation systems and projects, ensuring information is accurate, structured, and ready for use across internal platforms and processes.
2. Website Content & Merchandising
- Assist with regular website updates, including product uploads, category management, homepage updates, and content amendments. Help ensure products are presented clearly and effectively online
3. Ecommerce Promotions & Campaign Support
- Support the setup and execution of website promotions, seasonal campaigns, and pricing updates. Ensure promotional activity is implemented accurately and on time across ecommerce platforms and digital channels.
4. Reporting & Data Administration
- Assist with the preparation of weekly reports and ecommerce performance data. Support the wider team by gathering, organising, and maintaining data used for sales analysis, stock monitoring, and digital performance reporting.
5. Email Marketing Assistance
- Provide support with email marketing activity, including building audience lists, and assisting with automated customer journeys.
6. Digital Asset & Image Coordination
- Organise and manage digital assets including product imagery, banners, and marketing materials. Carry out basic image resizing and formatting to ensure assets are suitable for website, email, and marketplace use.
7. Ecommerce Research & Market Monitoring
- Monitor competitor websites, online retail trends, and ecommerce activity. Share findings and insights with the wider team to support ongoing improvements and digital development opportunities.
8. Ecommerce Administration & Operational Support
- Provide general administrative support across ecommerce operations, including organising files, maintaining digital records, and assisting with day-to-day ecommerce tasks. Support the wider digital team in ensuring efficient and smooth running of ecommerce processes.
Key Skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good written communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Desirable
- Previous experience in an administrative, retail, ecommerce, or digital role
- Familiarity with ecommerce platforms, CMS systems, or marketplaces
- Basic understanding of digital marketing or email marketing platforms
