Role Summary
We are looking for a Digital Marketing & Ecommerce Executive / Manager to help increase direct sales through our websites, local customer base, and direct customer channels.
The main mission of this role is to:
- Increase sales through our own websites and direct channels
- Improve paid ads performance and ROAS
- Build profitable campaigns for low-cost/high-volume products
- Increase average order value through bundles, upsells, cross-sells, and promotions
- Improve repeat purchases, customer retention, and email marketing
- Reduce reliance on other marketplaces where fees reduce profit margins
- Improve website conversion rates, product pages, landing pages, and customer journey
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands ecommerce, digital marketing, paid advertising, product presentation, and customer behaviour.
You will mainly focus on driving online growth, but as a small business, you will also be expected to support wider ecommerce, marketplace, product, sales and operational tasks when required.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Sales & Ecommerce Growth
- Grow sales through our own websites, local customers, and direct customer channels
- Improve website conversion rates, customer journey, and online shopping experience
- Increase average order value through bundles, offers, upsells, cross-sells, and product recommendations
- Develop strategies to improve repeat purchases, customer retention, and customer lifetime value
- Help reduce reliance on marketplaces by building stronger direct sales channels
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability across low-cost and high-volume products
Paid Ads & Marketing Performance
- Manage and optimise paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Meta/Facebook, Instagram, Microsoft Ads, and other relevant platforms
- Improve ROAS, cost per conversion, click-through rate, conversion rate, and overall campaign profitability
- Create campaigns focused on profitable sales, not just traffic
- Test different offers, landing pages, products, audiences, and creatives
- Analyse campaign data and make practical improvements based on performance
- Support seasonal campaigns, product launches, promotions, and sales events
Website, SEO & Conversion Optimisation
- Improve product pages, category pages, landing pages, banners, and promotional sections
- Optimise product titles, descriptions, images, keywords, and website content
- Support SEO improvements to increase organic traffic and long-term visibility
- Review website performance and suggest improvements to increase sales
- Help manage website updates, product uploads, pricing changes, and promotional content
- Work across platforms such as WordPress, WooCommerce, Amazon, eBay, and other ecommerce channels
Email Marketing & Customer Retention
- Create and manage email marketing campaigns, offers, and customer communications
- Build campaigns to encourage repeat purchases and increase customer lifetime value
- Support abandoned cart emails, follow-up campaigns, promotions, and customer segmentation
- Develop ideas to bring customers back after their first purchase
- Help grow and maintain customer databases for direct marketing
Content, Creative & Product Presentation
- Create or support digital content including banners, product copy, promotional graphics, email assets, and social media content
- Help improve product presentation across websites and marketplaces
- Support basic photography, video content, product images, and creative assets where required
- Maintain brand consistency across websites, adverts, emails, marketplaces, and social media
- Contribute ideas for campaigns, product bundles, launches, offers, and promotions
Marketplace & Wider Business Support
- Support marketplace activity across Amazon, eBay, and other online channels when needed
- Help optimise marketplace listings, pricing, content, keywords, and product visibility
- Carry out competitor research, product research, pricing checks, and market analysis
- Support new product launches and ecommerce administration
- Assist with wider business tasks when required as part of a growing small business
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in digital marketing, ecommerce, online retail, or marketplace selling
- Strong understanding of paid ads, ecommerce growth, SEO, conversion optimisation, and customer retention
- Good knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads, Google Analytics, social media, and email marketing
- Commercial mindset with a focus on sales, profit, ROAS, AOV, and customer lifetime value
- Ability to analyse data and turn it into practical actions
- Strong written English and ability to create clear product and marketing content
- Creative eye for design, branding, product presentation, and customer experience
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
- Flexible attitude and willingness to support other areas of the business when needed
Useful Experience
Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:
- WooCommerce, Shopify, WordPress, Amazon Seller Central, eBay, or similar platforms
- Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Search Console, and Merchant Center
- Email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar
- Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools
- SEO tools, keyword research, marketplace optimisation, or product listing optimisation
- Photography, videography, reels, social media content, or product content creation
- Ecommerce, retail, consumer products, manufacturing, printing, stickers, or online trading experience
