Full job description

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quantity Surveyor. In this role, you will work closely with our Senior Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers to assist in the management and control of costs associated with construction projects.

The ideal candidate will be keen to learn and have a basic understanding of construction processes and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

· Assist in preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.

· Perform take-offs and measurements from drawings to aid in the estimation process.

· Assist in the analysis of construction costs and preparation of cost reports.

· Conduct research to gather data on labour costs.

· Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely cost tracking.

· Assist in the valuation of monthly/ fortnightly applications.

· Site visits and inspections as required.

· Support the resolution of contractual and commercial issues.

· Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Requirements:

· Experience in the Construction Industry/ Quantity Surveying Field

· Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

· Comfortable with Microsoft programmes I.E Word, Excel

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

· Attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
