Are you passionate about food and looking to build a career as a chef?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, independent boutique hotel where you'll gain hands-on experience across a wide variety of food service, from breakfast and restaurant dining to weddings, afternoon teas and special events.

At Steventon House Hotel, no two days are the same. One day you could be preparing a busy breakfast service, the next helping to plate afternoon teas, assisting with a wedding banquet or supporting our chef during restaurant service.

We're looking for someone with enthusiasm, reliability and a genuine love of cooking. Whether you're already working as a Commis Chef or looking to take the next step in your kitchen career, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

Assisting with breakfast preparation and service.
Supporting the chef with lunch, dinner and event preparation.
Helping with afternoon teas, private events, weddings and celebrations.
Assisting during restaurant service with plating, frying and food preparation.
Preparing ingredients and carrying out kitchen prep.
Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards.
Helping with deliveries, stock rotation and kitchen organisation.
Supporting the team with general kitchen duties where required.

What We're Looking For

Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.
A genuine passion for food and cooking.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Reliable, hardworking and punctual.
Ability to work well as part of a small team.
Right to work in the UK.

Hours

Full-time position – approximately 40 hours per week.
Mixture of breakfast, daytime and evening shifts.
Includes weekends on a rota basis.
