CKL is one of Scotland’s leading suppliers of printed and embroidered clothing, producing workwear, schoolwear, sportswear and branded merchandise for clients across the UK.
From our 10,000 sq ft Glasgow facility, we handle all embroidery, printing and fulfilment in-house, and are proud to have supplied SMEs to major organisations such as ScotRail for over five years.
Following major investment under new ownership, we are expanding production capacity with new multi-head embroidery machines and DTF print technology. We are now looking for skilled operators to join our growing team.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Embroidery Machinist to join our growing production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating commercial embroidery machinery, ensuring customer orders are produced accurately, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial embroidery machinery safely and efficiently.
- Set up embroidery jobs, including framing garments and loading designs.
- Monitor production runs and maintain quality standards throughout.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, oiling and needle replacement.
- Check customer job sheets and artwork specifications to ensure accurate production.
- Position logos and designs correctly on garments according to customer requirements.
- Conduct quality inspections and identify any defects before dispatch.
- Fold, label and bag finished garments ready for delivery.
- Assist with stock management and general production duties as required.
- Get involved in other areas of the business when needed — the more you do, the more you can earn.
- Work closely with management and colleagues to ensure deadlines are achieved.
Skills & Experience
Requirements (Essential)
- Previous experience operating commercial embroidery machines.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow job specifications accurately.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fast and efficient operator.
Desirable
- Experience with garment printing equipment or related production machinery.
- Experience using CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop, Sage50 and MS Excel.
- Knowledge of Wilcom or similar embroidery software.
- Experience within garment decoration, workwear, schoolwear or fashion industries.

Working Hours
- Monday–Friday: 9:15am–5:30pm
Overtime available during busy periods
- Full-time preferred, although part-time applications may be considered for the right candidate.
