Are you skilled at building trust, motivating and developing co-produced realistic and achievable plans?

Can you work proactively with individuals, employers and health, wellbeing and employment partners to unblock challenges and create opportunities?

We’re looking for a Work and Health Coach to join our WorkWell Programme, supporting residents with health conditions or barriers that affect their ability to access, return to, or thrive in work.

You’ll deliver tailored, person-centred support, to build confidence, improve wellbeing, and take practical steps towards sustainable employment. Managing a caseload, you’ll coach participants through their journey using strengths-based behaviour-change approaches, connecting and supporting them to access relevant and helpful services.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a direct impact — helping people improve both their health and employment outcomes.

You will:

Have experience supporting people with health-related barriers into employment or improved wellbeing
Use a person-centred, trauma-informed approach to build trust and engagement
Be confident delivering coaching and behaviour change support
Be able to assess needs, set goals, and develop practical action plans
Have knowledge of employment support, health systems or local services (or the ability to develop this quickly)
Ideally hold a relevant Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience)

Most importantly, you’ll be motivated to help people recognise their potential and take meaningful steps towards their future.

Additional information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Team and service working arrangements are designed to support both employee work life balance and team collaboration. These would be part of your individual working arrangements alongside any personal preference agreed with your manager in advance of joining. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team and travel to and from your contractual location would be at your own expense.
