As we begin our journey, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Founding Care Manager to become one of the first leaders within our organisation. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the culture, values, and future of Community Companion while making a lasting difference to the lives of others.

The Role

As our Founding Care Manager, you will play a key role in establishing and maintaining a high-quality, CQC-compliant domiciliary care service.

You will be responsible for helping develop and implement systems, policies, and procedures, overseeing safe and effective care delivery, supporting and developing care staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and creating a culture centred around dignity, compassion, professionalism, and excellence.

You will lead by example, ensuring every person we support receives safe, effective, responsive, caring, and well-led support in line with CQC Fundamental Standards.

This role provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced care professional who wants to have a genuine influence over how a care company is built and delivered.

Essential Requirements

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or an equivalent recognised qualification suitable for CQC requirements).
Extensive experience working within adult social care.
Extensive practical experience and knowledge of medication management, administration, auditing, and medication best practice.
Strong understanding of CQC regulations, Fundamental Standards, safeguarding, risk management, and person-centred care.
Proven leadership and team management experience.
Excellent communication, organisation, and decision-making skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred).

Hours and Contract

In the pilot phase, the role will be flexible to your needs, with hours agreed in advance.
This position will initially be offered on an hourly-paid basis during Community Companion’s start-up phase.

As a new business, we want to ensure sustainable growth while maintaining the highest standards of care. Working hours will increase alongside client demand and business development.

Following a successful review after approximately six months, and subject to company growth, performance, and operational requirements, our intention is to offer the successful candidate a permanent full-time contract.

This progression would include eligibility for an annual performance bonus and profit-sharing opportunities as the company continues to grow.
