Join Our Team as an Administration Assistant
Location: Hampden Park, Eastbourne
Hours: 38.5 hours per week (including Friday evenings)

Are you an organised, detail-focused individual with great people skills? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment? If so, Eastbourne Car Auctions could be the perfect place for you.

We’re looking for a full-time Administration Assistant to play a key role in the smooth and professional running of our weekly car auctions and day-to-day office operations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Supporting Auction Days:

Help prepare for our weekly sales - gathering, checking, and entering vehicle information into our computerised management system
Assist the auctioneer during live sales - handling bidder details, taking deposits, and operating the online bidding platform

Customer Service & Communication:

Be a friendly, reliable point of contact for customer enquiries (either face to face or by phone and email
Liaise with colleagues and partners to ensure smooth communication and support across the business

Office & Admin Support:

Daily key checks
Maintain accurate digital and paper records
Contribute to the general efficiency of the office with filing, answering calls, and helping where needed

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a proactive and reliable team player. You’ll thrive in an often fast-paced environment, be comfortable communicating with a wide range of people, and be confident using key office software.

Essential Qualities:

Highly methodical and accurate, with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Enjoys interacting with the public and delivering great service
Remains calm and focused under pressure, particularly on busy auction days
A dependable team player, always ready to lend a hand wherever needed

Desirable (but not essential):

A clean driving licence
Prior office or administrative experience
A personal interest in cars or the motor trade
