Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic hospitality environment, assisting guests with their needs and enhancing their overall experience. The position is paid and requires a friendly, organised, and attentive individual with a passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently
Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
Process payments accurately using the hotel’s booking system
Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction
Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms meet quality standards
Keep accurate records of guest interactions and transactions

Skills

Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Proven experience in hotel reception or guest services is desirable
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly advantageous for assisting diverse guests
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Friendly demeanour with a genuine passion for hospitality
Knowledge of hotel management software systems is a plus
Ability to work flexible hours as required by the hospitality industry
