Transporter Driver (7.5 Tonne & Pickup/Trailer)

Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: Full Time – Monday to Friday

Fords of Winsford is looking for a professional and reliable Transporter Driver to join our Driving Team based in Winsford. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will be responsible for transporting vehicles safely between our sites, customers' homes, places of work and recovery locations, whilst delivering outstanding customer service.

The Role
As a Transporter Driver, your duties will include:
- Collecting and delivering motor vehicles between company sites, customers' homes and places of work.
- Attending roadside recoveries when required.
- Safely operating 7.5 tonne vehicles and pickup and trailer combinations.
- Completing all vehicle and delivery documentation accurately.
- Ensuring vehicles are transported safely and securely at all times.
- Working closely with the Workshop and Transport Controllers to manage daily workloads.
- Representing the Company professionally when driving, adhering to all road traffic legislation, speed limits and safe driving standards.
- Maintaining high standards of personal presentation and customer service.
- Ensuring all Health & Safety procedures and Company policies are followed.
- Completing job cards and transport records accurately.
What We're Looking For
Essential requirements:
- A full UK driving licence with the appropriate entitlement to drive 7.5 tonne vehicles and tow trailers.
- A current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC).
- Proven experience driving 7.5 tonne vehicles.
- Proven experience driving pickup and trailer combinations.
- A good knowledge of UK road traffic legislation.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
- Flexibility to meet the demands of the business.
