Shift Supervisor – Join The Countryman

Wage: £14 per hour + share of tips

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Shift Supervisor to join the team at The Countryman. This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day running of the venue, ensuring excellent customer service, and helping to lead and motivate the team during shifts.

This role can be offered on a part-time or full-time basis, depending on availability and business needs.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards across all areas of the business, creating a welcoming and efficient environment for both customers and staff.

Responsibilities

Oversee the smooth running of shifts and support daily operations
Lead by example to deliver excellent customer service at all times
Supervise and support front-of-house staff during service
Assist with staff training and ongoing development
Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
Ensure the venue is clean, organised, and operating to a high standard
Assist with stock control, ordering, and deliveries
Carry out opening and closing procedures, including cash handling
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations

Experience

Previous experience in a supervisory role within hospitality
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
A proactive and hands-on approach
Good understanding of health, safety, and licensing requirements
Experience with stock control and cash handling is desirable
