Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and sheet metal fabrication, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to work with various hand and power tools. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality fabrication projects in a dynamic environment, ensuring precision and safety at all times.
Responsibilities
- Perform Laser welding and other welding techniques on various materials, primarily sheet metal components.
- Fabricate, assemble, and modify metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble materials.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in troubleshooting fabrication issues and suggest improvements for efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in sheet metal assembly fabrication.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Experience working with sheet metal and performing fabrication tasks from technical drawings.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
- Prior experience in assembly processes is advantageous but not essential. This role requires attention to detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Candidates should be organised, reliable, and committed to producing high-quality work in a timely manner.
Pay: £12.71-£13.20 per hour
