Full job description

Overview

Join our Construction Estimating Department as an Administrative Professional dedicated to supporting the team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our estimating operations, ensuring smooth communication, organized documentation, and efficient workflow. Your proactive approach will help us deliver accurate costing and maintain tight control over project Tender returns, contributing directly to the success of our construction bidding Process. You will need to be tenacious, have a good telephone manner and IT skills

Responsibilities

Assist the estimating team by organizing and maintaining bid documents, proposals, and project files with meticulous attention to detail.
Coordinate communication between estimators and suppliers.
Prepare and distribute specifications and spreadsheets.
Schedule meetings.
Manage incoming correspondence, phone calls, and inquiries promptly to facilitate efficient workflow within the department.
Assist with procurement processes by ensuring return of subcontract and material quotes.

Requirements

Proven experience in administrative support within a construction or estimating environment is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—to effectively liaise with team members and external partners.
Knowledge of cost control principles and familiarity with budgeting is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced setting while demonstrating a positive attitude and attention to detail.
