Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable CIS Painter/Decorator to join our team. This role involves applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites. This position offers an opportunity to develop your craft within a supportive environment, contributing to diverse projects that enhance the appearance and value of properties.

Responsibilities

Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion of paints and finishes.
Applying paints, varnishes, stains, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and attention to detail.
Protecting surrounding areas by covering floors, furniture, and fixtures during painting activities.
matching shades to meet project specifications.
Communicating effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress or any issues encountered during work.
Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and maintains a clean work environment.
Assisting in the organisation of materials and tools required for each project to optimise workflow.

Experience

Previous experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable.
Knowledge of different types of paints, finishes, and application techniques.
Valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between multiple sites efficiently.
Fluency in English is essential for clear communication with clients and team members.
Strong communication skills are necessary to understand project requirements and provide updates effectively.
Familiarity with health and safety standards relevant to painting and decorating roles. This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to refine their skills within a professional setting while contributing to high-quality projects across various sectors.

Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year
