Full job description

ROLE: Mobile Gas Engineer
HOURS: Full-time (including On-Call rota)
LOCATION: Edinburgh

We're looking for a Mobile Gas Engineer who will undertake the maintenance and repair of gas plant, along with fabric and basic electrical tasks across buildings in line with contract requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on gas plant and associated equipment.
Undertake repairs, fault finding, and maintenance on boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, and associated systems.
Monitor sub-contractors, ensuring work meets required standards and health and safety regulations.
Issue permits, control minor works, and carry out escorting duties where required.
Complete all certification, reports, and paperwork accurately and within required timescales.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

City & Guilds Level II/III (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
Full, current UK driving licence.
Experience in maintenance, testing, and fault finding on a range of mechanical and electrical equipment.
Strong understanding of health and safety and safe working practices.
Good communication skills with a strong customer care focus.
