Full job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dynamic individual to join our inpatient Physiotherapy Team within the Lothian Specialist Rehabilitation Unit at East Lothian Community Hospital. The unit provides specialist inpatient rehabilitation for patients admitted with orthopaedic, neurological, and amputation-related conditions. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting patients with complex rehabilitation needs.

The postholder will support HCPCregistered Physiotherapists to deliver flexible, personcentred care, including physical activity and rehabilitation programmes for individuals and groups. You will manage a delegated caseload, prioritising your workload effectively, and independently adapt treatment programmes within your scope of practice, with appropriate supervision.

Key attributes for this post include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an understanding of the role of physiotherapy within rehabilitation, and experience of working effectively within a team. You will be flexible, organised, and able to manage your time efficiently. Strong multidisciplinary team working and communication skills are essential.
