Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and delivering exceptional service. The position involves operating flatbed vehicles and requires a strong focus on safety, organisation, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to clients and customers.
Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and meet deadlines.
Load and unload items carefully, ensuring all cargo is secured properly during transit.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any issues promptly.
Communicate with dispatch or clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure the safety of yourself, colleagues, and the public.
Assist with organising deliveries in accordance with priority and customer requirements.

Requirements

Valid driving licence suitable for operating flatbed lorries or commercial vehicles.
Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with experience in commercial driving environments.
Knowledge of flatbed handling and securing loads safely during transit.
Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
Strong organisational skills to manage routes efficiently and handle paperwork accurately.
Ability to work independently and responsibly under minimal supervision.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
Physical fitness to load, unload, and secure cargo as required.

Pay: £100.00-£250.00 per day
