Full job description

Job Description

To assist the Asset Manager (Housing) in delivering high-quality, efficient contract and project management from design to completion, ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements.

Requirements

To assist in the development, administration and contract delivery of the Council’s Capital and Revenue Planned Maintenance Programme.

To act as the departments representative, to protect the customers interests and to ensure achievement of good quality work in liaison with other departments, sections, consultants and contractors.

To protect the Councils Capital and Revenue budgets by actively controlling expenditure and ensuring that all projects offer the Council value for money.

To promote positive behaviours in the workplace and promote safe working within Housing & Property Services.

The Individual

Sound building technology knowledge and experience

House condition survey experience

Computer literacy, use of a range of databases and spreadsheets

Demonstrable experience working in a Housing Asset, Repairs and Maintenance role or equivalent

Technical knowledge of property repairs/ maintenance or improvement works

Appropriate technical qualifications to ONC/HNC/HND level in Architectural Technology.

Ability to manage complex situations / projects and find appropriate solutions

Willingness to take on additional tasks

Full driving licence and use of car for work purposes

AutoCAD Computer Aided Drafting skills

Worked in property repairs/maintenance or improvement environment

Ability to monitor and negotiate with contractors and consultants

Ability to prioritise own workload

Ability to work on own initiative

Good knowledge of relevant legislation

Good standard of general health and fitness required

Ability to climb stairs, ladders and scaffolding

Starting Salary: £40,056.25 Per Annum

£21.25 per hour

36.25 hours per week
