Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Groundwork Supervisor to oversee and coordinate ground preparation activities on construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, supervisory experience, and proficiency in Primavera P6. This role involves leading teams, ensuring safety standards are met, and maintaining project timelines to deliver high-quality groundwork operations efficiently.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate groundworks activities, including excavation, levelling, and site preparation.
Manage and lead a team of groundworkers, ensuring tasks are completed safely and within specified deadlines.
Utilise Primavera P6 for programme planning, scheduling, and resource management to optimise workflow.
Monitor site safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to health and safety regulations.
Liaise with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth communication and project progress.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality standards are maintained.
Organise the procurement of materials and equipment required for groundworks operations.
Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance skills and efficiency.

Experience

Proven management experience within the construction or civil engineering sectors.
Supervising experience in groundworks or related fields is essential.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and stakeholders. This role offers an opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead vital groundwork operations within a dynamic construction environment, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.

Pay: £24.00-£27.00 per hour
