Maintenance Operative (37.5 Hours per Week)

Salary: £14.00 per hour

Monday to Friday | Full-Time

We are looking for a reliable, caring, and compassionate Maintenance Operative to join our Home Support team and support the delivery of a high-quality maintenance to our Nursing & Residential Care Homes throughout Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin. This role would entail travelling to all of our 10 homes.

Our aim is to create a safe, comfortable, and homely environment where individuals can thrive, maintain independence, and enjoy an enhanced quality of life. The role of Maintenance Operative plays a vital part in ensuring our home is well maintained, safe, and welcoming at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out general maintenance and upkeep of the building and surrounding areas
Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance
Identify, report, and respond promptly to maintenance issues
Coordinate and oversee contractors and sub-contractors visiting the home
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard with minimal disruption to residents

Requirements

Experience in a similar maintenance role, ideally within a care or residential setting
Full, clean driving licence (essential)
Good practical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
A caring and respectful attitude towards service users and colleagues
