Full job description

Shovel Driver **shovel licence required**

Located in South Rd, Ellesmere Port, CH65 4LD

Do you have experience operating heavy machinery and enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? If so, Westland is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Shovel Driver.

Main Duties:

Operating shovel whilst loading and unloading materials in the yard.
Ensuring that the standard of the yard is maintained and kept clean and tidy.
Handling the product with care to ensure minimum damage at all times.
Carry out pre-use checks on shovel and report any damage/faults to manager.
Grease shovel as per maintenance schedule.
Direct raw material lorries to correct bay and inform QC.
Adhering to all Health and Safety compliance policies and procedures in place.
Any other reasonable request by a manager.

Essential Criteria:

Shovel licence mandatory
Previous experience operating a loading shovel.
Previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Good level of understanding and spoken English.
Ability to take direction and following instruction.

Rotating Shift Pattern:

AM Shift: 6.00am to 2.00pm Monday to Friday
PM Shift: 2.00pm to 10.30pm Monday to Thursday and 2.00pm to 8.00pm Friday.

All the detail will be discussed in more detail at the interview along with detail of the competitive hourly rate and bonus.
