Description

Looking to take the next step in your social care career?

We’re recruiting a Key Worker to help lead a small, dedicated team supporting an adult with learning disabilities and/or autism to live a full, independent life.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll continue providing direct support, while mentoring colleagues and helping shape high-quality, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, person-centred support in line with individual support plans
Act as a positive role model, leading by example within the team
Support the day-to-day coordination of the service, including rota oversight and shift guidance
Assist with staff supervision, induction, and ongoing development
Promote independence, emotional wellbeing, and meaningful activities
Support with medication administration, record keeping, and compliance
Liaise with families, professionals, and the Locality Manager
Identify and respond to any concerns, ensuring safe and effective support delivery
Working flexibly across the organisation one weekend per rota period

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Senior Support Worker experience or 1+ year supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism
Background in Supported Living, Learning Disabilities and/or Autism
Ability to lead, coach and support colleagues
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Knowledge of person-centred approaches and best practice in care
Calm, confident approach to managing challenging situations
Commitment to delivering high-quality, values-led support
Must hold a Full UK Driving License
