Full job description

Please note - This is a Factory Production Shift Leader role, so you must have proven experience of taking responsibility for the performance of a factory team's output during a shift. Any applications without that will be rejected immediately.

Key Details

Pay: £15.80-16.50 per hour, depending on experience
Location: Enfield, EN1 1GR (Manufacturing Facility)
Shift Pattern: We have two shift slots. All employees are rota'd for a mixture of the two slots.
Early Slot = 6am-3pm
Late Slot = 2pm-11pm
It will normally be 5 shifts per week, including one weekend day (extra shifts may be available if the person wants, but 5 days is the standard)
Anyone working for us needs to be able to arrive at the factory in time for 6am (when the early shift starts), and be able to get back home when finishing at 11pm (when the late shift ends).

Essential Requirements - Please Read Carefully

1) This is a Shift Leader role, so you must have proven experience of taking responsibility for the performance of a team's output during a shift.

2) However, we are a small business (~6-8 people on shift at any one time including the shift leader), so this role will still be working on the line right alongside the rest of the team. If you are looking for a role where you are just supervising or checking others' work, or where you are leading a team of 20+ colleagues, then this is not the right fit for you.

3) This is a physically demanding role in a fast-paced environment. To be considered, you must meet the following criteria:

Experience: Proven experience in food production or a manufacturing environment is mandatory.
Physical Fitness: You must be comfortable standing for long periods and performing lifting throughout a ~9-hour shift.
Reliability: We are a high-growth start-up; we need team members who are punctual and dependable.
Attitude: We have a strict "no-ego" policy. We are a friendly, polite, and hard-working team looking for a positive personality fit.

The Role

Working at our Enfield facility, you will be a vital part of the team ensuring our frozen snacks are produced to the highest standards. Your responsibilities include:

Machinery: Operating our chocolate enrobing line and confectionery equipment.
Preparation: Preparing and portioning ingredients according to precise recipes.
Quality Control: Performing checks on weight, temperature, and appearance to maintain our premium standards.
Compliance: Accurately completing production logs for food safety and traceability.
Hygiene: Maintaining a clean, contamination-free workspace and adhering to all health and safety/PPE regulations.
