Full job description

Established in 1985, Alpha Rail Ltd has 40 years of metal fabrication expertise and is one of the UK's leading manufacturers of metal railings, gates, pedestrian guardrail and bespoke architectural metalwork.

We have a vacancy for a Machine Operator within our busy machine shop , producing a variety of mild steel railing components.

About the role

You will be working in a factory environment on regular daytime shifts, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities will include:

Operating a wide range of metalworking machinery including CNC lathes, saws, plasma cutter, ironworkers, etc.
Producing high-quality components to strict deadlines.
Reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings.
Liaising with management as required.
Manual handling of heavy steel products is invloved.

Desired work/education experience:

Minimum 1 year of metalwork experience.

Additional advantageous skills:

Forklift certification

Desired skills and qualities:

Positive attitude
Problem solving ability
Able to meet daily targets
Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Extra information:

Weekly Pay
39.5 hrs per week (days regular, occasional overtime available)
All necessary PPE will be provided
