12CP Barristers are hiring!

Junior Barrister’s Clerk

We are a friendly, dynamic, forward- thinking barrister’s chambers based in Southampton seeking a motivated and organised individual to join our clerking team to assist in the day to day running of Chambers.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to begin their career within chambers and the successful candidate will have opportunities to progress within the clerking team over time. No previous clerking experience is required however administrative, or customer service experience would be advantageous.

Jobs will include:

· answering the phone in a confident manner,

· dealing with email queries,

· booking and managing cases,

· checking Crown Court, Magistrates Court and County Court lists,

· assisting with management of Barrister’s diaries

· assisting with general day to day administration and upkeep of Chambers

Desired skills:

· Highly organised

· Good communication skills

· Professional and personable manner

· Strong attention to detail

· Ability to work under pressure

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment

· Previous office experience beneficial but not essential

This is a full-time role, Monday- Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm.

1 hour lunch break

Free parking

21 days holiday plus bank holidays

Salary: £25,000
