An exciting opportunity to make a real impact on our roads and communities.
This exciting role sits within the Highway Asset Maintenance team, a small, committed and technically skilled group responsible for commissioning and managing the council’s capital highway maintenance programmes. As part of the team, you will work closely with and directly support the lead Senior Engineer, applying robust highway asset management principles to plan, develop and deliver effective maintenance programmes. This includes the design and implementation of a range of preventative surface treatments, complemented by more traditional structural resurfacing methods, to ensure the long‑term performance, durability and value of the highway network.
We are seeking a hardworking and conscientious individual to join our busy team, delivering an essential and highly valued service to our customers. You will be someone who can build strong, effective working relationships with both internal teams and external partners, contributing positively to a collaborative working environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within an operational highways environment, with a solid understanding of specialist preventative surface treatments. You will be well‑organised, adaptable, and an effective communicator, able to manage your workload confidently in a fast‑paced setting.
If you are solutions‑focused, committed to achieving strong results, and enjoy working as part of a supportive team, while also looking to make a real impact within a transforming organisation, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
