Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Site Manager to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction projects across a range of commercial and professional environments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.

The role involves managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors and trades, monitoring programme schedules, maintaining health and safety compliance, and ensuring all works are completed in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. Projects may include offices, retail units, educational facilities, healthcare settings, and other commercial properties, offering varied and rewarding work.

Candidates should be highly organised, proactive, and capable of leading site teams while maintaining excellent communication with clients, suppliers, and project stakeholders. A full UK driving licence is desirable, and transport can be provided to sites from our office in Swadlincote.

Duties

Manage and supervise daily site operations across multiple commercial construction projects
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient project delivery
Monitor project programmes and ensure works are completed on schedule and within budget
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards
Conduct regular site inspections and maintain high standards of workmanship throughout all phases of construction
Enforce health and safety procedures and ensure compliance with current legislation and company policies
Complete site documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, risk assessments, and method statements
Liaise with clients, project managers, surveyors, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress
Identify and resolve site issues, delays, and potential risks in a timely and professional manner
Manage material deliveries, site logistics, and resource allocation
Support project planning and assist with the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment at all times

Requirements

Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry
Valid SMSTS certification (essential)
Valid CSCS Manager Card (essential)
First Aid at Work certification (desirable)
Strong understanding of construction methods, building regulations, and health and safety legislation
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction programmes
Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades on site
Full UK driving licence desirable
Reliable, professional, and capable of working independently while managing project teams effectively
Proficient in maintaining site records and project documentation

Pay: £275.00-£375.00 per day
