Catering Lounge Supervisor - Excel London Full-Time / Permanent

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Catering Lounge Supervisor to lead the staff canteen operation on a full-time basis (40 hours per week). You will ensure high-quality food service, strong hygiene standards, and smooth day-to-day operations while leading and developing a motivated team.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily staff canteen operations, ensuring smooth service delivery
Lead, train, and support kitchen and front-of-house teams
Work with chefs to deliver varied menus, including dietary requirements
Maintain food safety, hygiene, and H&S compliance (HACCP standards)
Manage stock control, ordering, and waste reduction
Support budgeting and cost control to drive efficiency
Respond to staff feedback and maintain excellent service standards
Coordinate staffing and service flow during peak/off-peak periods
Support team development and performance management
Introduce ideas to improve service and enhance staff experience

What We’re Looking For

Experience in a similar catering or hospitality supervisory role
Strong leadership and team management skills
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and H&S standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong organisational and communication skills
Experience in stock, cost control, and budgeting
Passion for great food and staff wellbeing

Desirable

Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to gain)
Experience in large-scale catering or venue environments
Knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements
