Location: Longnor Hall, Wheaton Aston Road, Penkridge, ST19 5QN
Job Type: Full-time, permanent [8am - 4pm Monday - Friday]

About Us

Longnor Heritage specialises in the conservation and repair of listed and historic buildings across Staffordshire and the Midlands. By combining traditional craftsmanship with practical expertise, we are committed to preserving these important structures for future generations.

As a growing and ambitious business, we are seeking an experienced and dependable Construction Multi-Trade Team Leader to help establish and develop our operations from the outset. This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the Managing Director.

The position is primarily based at Longnor Hall, with additional work carried out across third-party sites as required. We are a dynamic organisation focused on delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional service.

The Role

The Construction Multi-Trade Team Leader will oversee and work alongside a team of skilled tradespeople, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a consistently high standard.

This is a practical leadership role requiring strong technical ability, organisation, and effective team management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of multi-trade operatives
Plan and allocate daily tasks to maximise productivity
Carry out hands-on trade work (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling)
Ensure all work meets company and industry standards
Monitor quality and carry out regular site inspections
Maintain and enforce health & safety compliance on site
Liaise with Directors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
Support the training and development of team members
Complete job reports and site documentation accurately

About You

Proven experience in a multi-trade construction role
Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader position
Strong understanding of construction processes and health & safety regulations
Relevant trade qualifications (NVQ or equivalent desirable)
CSCS card (desirable)
SSSTS or SMSTS certification (desirable)
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Full UK driving licence
