Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Family Assistant / Nanny-Housekeeper to provide comprehensive support to a busy household in Nairn. This full-time role involves caring for children, managing household tasks, and ensuring the smooth running of daily routines. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proactive approach to managing household needs while maintaining a warm and professional demeanour. Experience in hospitality, management, or customer service is highly desirable, alongside strong IT and computer literacy skills.

Responsibilities

Providing attentive childcare and engaging children in educational and recreational activities outwith school hours.
Assisting with daily routines such as meal preparation, dressing, and organising activities
Managing household tasks including cleaning, laundry, and general organisation of the home
Coordinating appointments, schedules, and errands to ensure efficient household management
Maintaining effective communication with family members regarding daily updates and needs
Utilising Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other IT tools to organise schedules, create reports, or manage correspondence
Ensuring the household environment remains welcoming and well-maintained

Experience

Previous experience in a similar role as a nanny, housekeeper, or family assistant is preferred
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy household setting
Proven management or leadership experience is advantageous
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook) and general computer literacy
Background in hospitality or customer service roles will be considered a plus
Ability to work independently with initiative while maintaining attention to detail
