Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Car Body Repairer/Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicle bodies, applying paint and finishes to achieve a high-quality finish. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently within a busy workshop environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive repair and painting, looking to develop their skills within a professional setting.

Responsibilities

Repairing damaged vehicle bodies using specialised tools and techniques
Preparing surfaces by sanding, grinding, and cleaning prior to painting
Applying primer, paint, and clear coats with precision to ensure a smooth finish
Matching colours accurately and blending paint seamlessly
Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during repair processes
Conducting quality checks on completed work to meet company standards
Maintaining a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency
Assisting with vehicle assembly and disassembly as required during repairs

Qualifications

Proven experience in car body repair or painting is desirable but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate
Mechanical knowledge of vehicle structures and repair techniques
Proficiency in using hand tools such as sanders, grinders, and paint sprayers
Experience with power tools used in automotive bodywork is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or materials
Strong attention to detail with an eye for colour matching and finishing quality
Good organisational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks effectively
