Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented and qualified MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards. This role requires a strong mechanical background and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

Perform MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and safety regulations.
Conduct detailed inspections of vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and suspension systems.
Identify any defects or issues that may affect vehicle performance or safety and document findings accurately.
Provide clear explanations to customers regarding test results and any necessary repairs or maintenance.
Maintain a clean and organised working environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good condition.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to testing schedules.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively.
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to vehicle maintenance and repair.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during inspections and repairs.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members effectively.
