Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in busy restaurant environments. As a Grill Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking grilled dishes to high standards, ensuring excellent food safety practices are maintained at all times. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our customers.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to specified recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding work areas
Assist in meal preparation, including marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and safety
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver timely service
Manage stock levels of ingredients and notify management of any shortages or issues
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper handling of equipment and food products

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a restaurant setting
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Experience with meal preparation and serving in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Culinary experience specialising in grilling techniques is highly desirable
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required
