Full job description

Overview
Tide is looking for both a new brunch chef & sous chef to join our amazing kitchen team.

We're seeking a passionate, eager, and talented individual with a willingness to learn and develop your skills under a Michelin trained head chef. Our menu changes weekly, and you'll be helping to design the dishes on it, giving the opportunity to express creativity and develop your skills.

Your schedule can be flexible, and we shut Monday and Tuesdays.

Reliable transport to Flushing required.

Pay according to experience, start date immediate.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Oversee food safety and hygiene practices in compliance with health regulations
Ensure allergy protocols are followed closely and safely
Collaborate with the team on menu development, seasonal offerings, and special events, as part of a weekly changing menu
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Be on time, ready to work, and enthusiastic

Skills

Proven kitchen experience, hospitality based preffered
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
A proactive approach to problem-solving
Experience in food production, culinary arts, and restaurant operations
Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and front-of-house staff
Knowledge of serving procedures and customer service excellence is desirable
