About us

Rooted in local heritage, the Cornwall Hotel Collection is known for exceptional service, award-winning dining, and inspiring locations at the heart of Cornish hospitality.

Our collection includes four distinctive hotels: The Alverton, a historic hillside retreat; The Greenbank, set on the enchanting waterfront; The Falmouth, an iconic Victorian landmark; and our newest addition, The Atlantic, offering stunning coastal views. With exciting developments ahead, there’s never been a better time to join us.

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join the kitchen team at The Falmouth Hotel as a Kitchen Porter.

Responsibilities

Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areas.
Wash and store kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery and utensils efficiently.
Assist with deliveries and the safe storage of food and supplies.
Support chefs with basic food preparation when required.
Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed.
Keep kitchen floors, work surfaces and storage areas clean and organised.
Adhere to all food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support smooth service operations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential.
A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
A willingness to learn and contribute to the success of the kitchen team.
