Full job description

An established independent retail and distribution business based in Portsmouth is seeking a reliable, practical and customer-focused individual to join our team.

This is a varied role combining customer deliveries, warehouse duties and occasional showroom support. The successful candidate will become an important part of a small, friendly team and will represent the business both in-store and in customers' homes. The role includes regular Saturday working as part of the normal weekly rota. Applicants must be available to work Saturdays.

Main Responsibilities

Delivering to customers' homes throughout the local area
Carrying products safely into customers' properties
Assembling products onsite
Providing excellent customer service during deliveries
Assisting with unloading supplier deliveries
Preparing customer orders in the warehouse
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment
Supporting showroom sales during busy periods
Helping maintain high standards throughout the business

What We're Looking For

Full UK driving licence
Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
Physically fit and capable of manual handling
Friendly and professional when dealing with customers
Practical, hands-on approach to work
Able to work effectively as part of a small team
Good communication skills
Previous delivery, warehouse, retail or customer service experience would be beneficial but is not essential

£13.00–£15.00 per hour depending on experience and suitability
