Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated GCSE English Teacher to join our islamic educational institution. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a love for literature and language among students, while also developing their critical thinking and communication skills. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing support to ensure each learner reaches their full potential.

Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to diverse learning styles.
Teach English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, while integrating literature into the curriculum.
Assess student performance through regular evaluations, assignments, and exams, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a sense of belonging.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
Stay updated on educational trends and methodologies to continuously improve teaching practices.

Requirements

A relevant degree in English, Education, or a related field is essential.
Strong knowledge of the English language and literature curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage students effectively.
Experience in teaching English at the secondary level is advantageous but not mandatory.
A passion for literature and education, along with a commitment to student development.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative in lesson planning and classroom management.
