Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Medical Secretary/Administrator to join our team. This role involves providing essential administrative/secretarial support within a busy medical practice, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and timely referrals. The ideal candidate will possess strong office experience, excellent organisational skills, and a professional attitude to facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare professionals. This paid position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care while developing your secretarial and administrative expertise in a healthcare setting.

Duties

Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with data protection regulations
Preparing and processing medical documentation, reports, and referrals
Assisting with billing procedures and insurance claim submissions
Organising administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
Liaising with healthcare providers, patients, and external agencies to ensure seamless communication

Skills

Proven office experience with strong organisational abilities
Prior administrative experience within a healthcare environment is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and medical record management software
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively
Professional demeanour with a friendly approach towards patients and colleagues
