*We are open to discuss working arrangements including flexibility over hours, however the expectation is that, as this role supports such a critical system that the role will be based at Service Headquarters, and you will be expected to attend the Service premises for 5-days a week.
The Role
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in digital, data and technology? This is the chance to work closely with our Control Room colleagues by supporting the systems which dispatch our crews and fire engines to our Essex communities. Our friendly and inclusive ICT team are searching for a new Incident Systems and Data Officer to support Guardian Command, our Service mobilisation system.
Experience in application management and configuration, managing different stakeholders, and demonstrable commitment to our blue light mission is beneficial.
What You Will Be Working On
The successful applicant will ensure system data integrity through collaboration with colleagues across our Fire Service, resolving operational system issues, managing workflows and testing upgrades, improvements and service requests.
Working with the Data and Systems officers in the ICT team will provide opportunities to configure and support other Service critical systems.
Responsibility of maintaining supporting documentation and storing of risk information will ensure safe mobilisation of the Service’s Frontline Resources in line with the Service’s Safeguarding Policy.
What Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone with passion for the high-quality data and systems that underpins our missions, alongside an interest in supporting frontline response. We would love to find someone with excellent administration skills, who enjoys communicating and working with colleagues to further improve our digital systems and our ways of working.
