Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for ensuring vehicles meet safety and environmental standards. This role is essential in providing high-quality service to our customers while maintaining compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet the required safety and emissions standards.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to perform inspections and repairs as necessary.
Identify any faults or issues during testing and provide detailed reports on findings.
Maintain accurate records of tests conducted, including any repairs or adjustments made.
Ensure that all equipment used is in good working order and report any maintenance needs promptly.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Assist with heavy lifting when required, particularly when moving vehicles or equipment.

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or repair.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily tasks.
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
A valid MOT Tester licence is preferred but not essential; training may be provided for the right candidate.
