Supporting Pharmacist / Lead Pharmacist

RG40, Berkshire
Full-Time | Independent Community Pharmacy
£62,725 – £70,252 per year DOE

Experienced Pharmacists Only – Minimum 4 Years’ Management Experience Required

We are looking to appoint an exceptional pharmacist to join our established independent community pharmacy in Finchampstead.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced, clinically strong and commercially aware pharmacist to take on a senior leadership role within a highly respected, services-led pharmacy with an experienced support team already in place.

We are not looking for somebody to simply “cover shifts”.

We are looking for somebody who takes genuine pride in pharmacy, enjoys leadership and operations, and wants to play a major long-term role within a growing independent business.

You will work alongside an experienced owner-pharmacist within a collaborative, professional and well-organised environment where patient care, standards and service quality come first.

Working Pattern

Full-time permanent position
Monday–Saturday working pattern
One weekday off each week
Monday–Friday: 08:30–18:30
Saturday: 08:30–15:00
Average working hours: 48.25 hours per week
20 days paid holiday plus bank holidays

The Role

You will play a key leadership role supporting the smooth and successful day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including:

Delivering NHS and private pharmacy services
Flu vaccinations
Covid vaccinations
Travel clinic services including Yellow Fever vaccinations
Supporting operational workflow and compliance
Leading and supporting the pharmacy team
Maintaining excellent patient care and professional standards
Supporting service growth and development

This is a collaborative role within a stable and supportive environment with experienced dispensary and counter staff already in place.

Essential Requirements

GPhC registered pharmacist
Minimum 4 years’ pharmacy management experience within community pharmacy
Newly qualified pharmacists or applicants with less experience will not be considered
Proven track record confidently managing pharmacy operations
Accredited and experienced in:
Flu vaccinations
Covid vaccinations
Travel vaccinations including Yellow Fever
NHS and private PGD services
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Commercial awareness and operational confidence
Excellent communication and patient care standards

Desirable

Independent Prescriber qualification
Experience growing pharmacy services
Pre-registration tutor or mentoring experience
