About Us

J Mould (Reading) is a specialist demolition, decontamination and recycling contractor with more than 50 years’ experience of multi-disciplined project management and execution. Family-owned and managed, the company is known for its innovative approach to industry challenges.

J Mould Reading is looking for an experienced heavy Plant Fitter to work from its new workshop in Reading. You will report to the Plant manager and be working on a varied fleet from mini diggers to 65t excavators and the attachments that fit them, Crushers and Screeners, Loading shovels, Forklifts and Static recycling plants.

Your task would include:

carrying out scheduled machine servicing.
Fault-finding and repairs on electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
Welding as required.
showing a strong attention to detail
working under pressure, with the aptitude to think on your feet and resolve any issue that may arise.
ensuring that work is carried out to the highest standard and on time.
ensuring that service reports and timesheets are completed correctly and submitted.
liaising with other support staff such as Plant, Demolition, wash plant and recycling managers

Your Technical Skills:

a proven track record working on modern hydraulic excavators, wheel loaders, Crushers and Screeners
experience in troubleshooting modern hydraulic systems and diesel engines.
experience working on large-scale mobile earthmoving equipment in a quarry environment.
