The Sales Coordinator Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the commercial team at Polyformes, part of Macfarlane Packaging. Acting as a key link between customers, account managers and internal departments, you'll help ensure enquiries, quotations and orders are processed efficiently whilst delivering an excellent customer experience.
This is a varied and fast-paced role that combines customer service, sales support and commercial administration. You'll work closely with Account Managers, helping to maintain strong customer relationships whilst identifying opportunities to provide solutions that support customer needs and business growth.
What you will be doing
- Acting as a first point of contact for customer enquiries via telephone and email
- Supporting Account Managers with customer communications and day-to-day account administration
- Processing enquiries, quotations and customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Producing product costings and quotations
- Maintaining accurate customer and prospect records within internal systems
- Managing correspondence between customers and the sales team
- Assisting with price enquiries, stock availability requests and order updates
- Following up pending orders and customer requests to ensure excellent service delivery
- Processing proforma payments and associated administration
- Preparing reports and providing administrative support to the wider sales function
- Building positive relationships with customers and helping identify suitable product solutions
What you will bring
We're looking for an organised and customer-focused individual who enjoys working in a busy commercial environment. You may already have experience in a sales support, customer service, internal sales or sales administration position, although attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn are equally important.
Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of the sales process
- Strong IT skills and confidence using business systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- A proactive and positive approach to problem solving
- A genuine desire to support customers and colleagues alike
- Experience of reading technical drawings would be advantageous but is not essential, as training can be provided.
