About the role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Advisor to join the team delivering the Birkhill Wood Substation project in Cottingham.
role Purpose: To support a Right First Time culture by coordinating and implementing assurance activities, resolving quality-related issues, and ensuring the effective application of quality management processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll be doing
- Support project teams in developing Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring they are implemented effectively and meet all requirements, including those produced by the supply chain.
- Monitor and report on quality performance against agreed business and project KPIs.
- Implement quality control mechanisms to ensure assets and services are delivered in line with design and specification.
- Advise delivery teams on the use of appropriate digital quality and governance systems, supporting issue resolution where required.
- Maintain local quality processes in line with the Quality Management System.
- Undertake local audits aligned to programme objectives and support internal (BB) and external certification audits.
- Coordinate the production and handover of project and/or business quality deliverables.
- Deliver quality development and training initiatives for project teams and local quality resources.
- Promote the sharing of best practice and lessons learned to drive continual improvement.
- Contribute to Management Reviews and ensure delivery of agreed actions.
- Support investigations into high-risk quality issues as required.
- Implement continuous improvement actions aligned with business quality strategy.
Who we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Quality Management professional, with strong knowledge of associated methodologies, tools and systems.
- Level 4+ qualification in Quality, Construction, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- CQI Affiliate Member (ACQI) or above.
- ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor qualified.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across both quality and operational teams.
- Analytical and objective approach, with the ability to evaluate information impartially.
- Awareness of change management principles.
